Why consider modern dentures?

Tooth loss affects more than just your appearance; it impacts your nutrition, speech, and even the structure of your face. When teeth are missing, the facial muscles can sag, making you look older than you are.

Today's dentures are nothing like the ones from decades past. With modern materials, we make dentures that are lighter, fit more securely and look more natural than older dentures. Whether you need a few teeth or a full arch, we'll help you choose an option that fits your life.

Our Denture Solutions

We offer a variety of custom options tailored to your specific needs and oral health.

Complete dentures

Complete (Full) Dentures

Complete dentures are used when all of the teeth in an upper or lower arch are missing. They consist of a flesh-colored acrylic base that fits snugly over your gums, holding a full set of custom-crafted prosthetic teeth. We take careful measurements to get a secure fit that supports your lips and cheeks and helps you chew.

  • Replaces an entire arch of missing teeth
  • Helps support your lips and cheeks
  • Customized tooth shape and shade for a natural look

Partial Dentures

If you still have some healthy natural teeth remaining, a partial denture is a good way to fill the gaps. Partials consist of replacement teeth attached to a gum-colored base, often connected by a metal or flexible acrylic framework. They clasp onto your existing teeth and help keep them from shifting out of place.

  • Helps keep your remaining teeth in place
  • Removable for easy cleaning and maintenance
  • Available in traditional metal or flexible, metal-free materials

Implant-Retained Dentures

Implant-retained (snap-in) dentures attach to a few implants placed in the jaw. They slip and click far less than a standard denture, and many people no longer need adhesive.

  • A steadier fit for easier chewing
  • The implants help slow jawbone shrinkage
  • Adhesive usually not needed

Frequently Asked Questions

It is completely normal for new dentures to feel a bit awkward or bulky for the first few weeks. You may experience minor irritation or increased saliva flow as your mouth adjusts. We recommend starting with soft foods cut into small pieces and practicing speaking out loud. Most patients get used to them within a few weeks.

With proper care, a high-quality set of dentures can last 5 to 10 years. Over time, your jawbone and gums naturally change shape, which can cause the dentures to become loose. We may need to 'reline' (reshape the underside) or eventually replace them to ensure a proper fit.

Dentures should be brushed daily with a soft-bristled denture brush and a non-abrasive denture cleanser (regular toothpaste is too harsh and can scratch them). You should also soak them overnight in water or a mild denture-soaking solution to keep them from drying out and losing their shape.

Yes! Even if you have no natural teeth remaining, regular dental check-ups are crucial. We need to examine your gum tissue for signs of disease or oral cancer, check the fit of your dentures, and professionally clean them to remove stubborn plaque and tartar build-up.

While you can occasionally sleep with them, we highly recommend removing your dentures at night. Taking them out gives your gums and jawbone a chance to rest and recover from the pressure of wearing them all day. It also helps prevent fungal infections and bacterial growth.
